About the role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys throughout all phases of the litigation process. The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex case files, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and coordinating discovery and trial preparation activities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-claim investigations, legal research, and initial case assessments
- Draft pleadings, motions, appellate documents, and other legal filings
- File documents with courts and administrative agencies
- Manage litigation calendars, including hearings, deadlines, and case milestones
- Organize and maintain case files, pleadings, discovery indexes, and litigation databases
- Coordinate and manage exhibits, evidence, briefs, appendices, and trial materials
- Assist attorneys with discovery requests, including interrogatories, requests for production, and document review
- Gather, analyze, and summarize information from a variety of sources
- Communicate with clients, experts, court personnel, opposing counsel, and other third parties
- Support trial teams during preparation and throughout the litigation process
- Assist with settlement preparation and case resolution activities
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Litigation Paralegal
- Strong understanding of litigation procedures, discovery, evidence, court rules, and legal documentation
- Experience drafting legal pleadings, motions, and related litigation documents
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Advanced computer proficiency and experience with legal databases and document management systems
- Paralegal Associate Degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Skills
- Trial preparation experience
- Experience with e-filing in state and federal courts
- Knowledge of litigation support software and case management systems
- Ability to work independently while supporting multiple attorneys
