Manage and oversee the day-to-day workflow of paralegal and administrative support staff.
Assist attorneys with all phases of case preparation, litigation, and case management.
Draft, review, and file legal documents, pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence.
Maintain case files, calendars, deadlines, and court filings.
Conduct legal research and gather supporting documentation for cases.
Communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, experts, and vendors.
Monitor case progress and ensure compliance with court deadlines and firm procedures.
Train, mentor, and provide guidance to junior paralegals and legal assistants.
Aid in trial preparation, hearings, mediations, depositions, and settlement conferences.
Cook up document production, discovery responses, and records management.
Identify opportunities to improve office procedures and case management efficiency.
Maintain strict confidentiality of client and firm information.
An associate's degree, bachelor's degree, or paralegal certificate from an accredited program preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience, preferably in a law firm environment.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Extensive knowledge of legal procedures, court rules, and case management practices.
Strong legal drafting, research, and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
A strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Experience managing litigation matters from intake through resolution.
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Experience training and supervising legal support staff.
Familiarity with Texas state and federal court filing procedures.
