Paralegal

Position Overview

We are seeking a talented Paralegal with 6+ years of litigation experience to join our dynamic team!

The legal assistant will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys, maintaining case files, and ensuring the smooth flow of operations within our litigation team.

What You'll Do

• Act as liaison among all parties including courts and other neutral parties.
• Review, organize, and maintain case materials.
• Perform case-related research.
• Draft pleadings, subpoenas, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, interrogatories/answers, other legal documents.
• Cooling the collection, review and production of documents and discovery requests.
• Aid in deposition preparation, pre-trial investigations, trial preparation, including assistance with preparation of witnesses for deposition and/or trial.
• Aid in trial preparation including preparation of exhibits, witness binders and other demonstrative evidence for use at trial and court hearings.
• Calendaring and scheduling depositions, hearings, mediations and other meetings as needed.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree or Certificate in Paralegal Studies (preferred)
• 6+ years of relevant experience as a paralegal with a focus on litigation
• Experience and knowledge of State and Federal court system and filings
• First Party Property Insurance (a plus)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, document management and client management software systems
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Organized & detail-oriented
