Paralegal

About the role

This Work from Home position requires that you live and will perform the duties of the position within 60 miles of an HCA Healthcare Hospital (Our hospitals are located in the following states: FL, GA, ID, KS, KY, MO, NV, NH, NC, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA).

Responsibilities

• Assist counsel with HIM, ROI and privacy matters
• Assist litigation counsel with case management
• Draft correspondence and other documents
• Conduct legal research and writing
• Document and contract routing
• Assist in maintaining and updating workflows and databases
• Basic contract drafting, review and analysis
• Organize files for storage
• Full administrative support including answering phones, scheduling meetings and conference calls, setting up and maintaining files and databases, filing, responding to e-mails, extensive telephone and e-mail contact with Parallon and HCA staff, travel arrangements, reimbursement filings, and similar activities
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• College graduate preferred
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience
• Paralegal certification preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Excellent interpersonal skills, both from a management perspective, as well as for working with internal clients and external parties
• Proven ability to manage simultaneously a high volume of projects
