Description of this role
This position is responsible for assisting with legal advocacy for Fathers & Families Support Center clients. Prepare legal documents and prepare for legal proceedings.
Duties, Functions and Responsibilities
- Advise clients on their rights and obligations concerning divorce, custody, paternity, non-paternity, and/or child support cases.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain legal correspondence and documentation.
- Accurately prepare and/or update correspondence, reports, presentations, or other information including routine letters, memos, and legal documents.
- Provide legal advice to clients in the areas of domestic relations.
- Travel to multiple locations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Legal experience in domestic relations.
- Previous experience in legal services and/or demonstrated commitment to public interest law.
- Ability to provide services to disadvantaged or disabled individuals strongly preferred.
- Must have excellent writing skills and be proficient with computers.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Energetic and committed to public service law mission.
- Good communication skills to include public speaking.
Educational and Experience Requirements
- At least 3 years’ experience.
- Must possess a valid Missouri driver’s license and have a reliable, insured vehicle.

Pay Range
$20 - $24 per hour
