About the role
We are seeking a full-time paralegal to join our new and developing in-house law firm, supporting a small group of attorneys handling insurance defense cases. The ideal candidate will have experience with No Fault/PIP, UM/UIM, and Bodily Injury Suits.
Responsibilities
- Support 1-2 attorneys with discovery-related tasks, medical record collection, medical summaries/chronologies, appeals, and trial preparation.
- Communicate in writing and verbally with attorneys, witnesses, and clients to schedule or confirm appearances.
- Review, edit, and adjust the litigation calendar and confirm depositions and court appearances.
- Draft legal documents and pleadings, including deposition notices, subpoenas, authorizations, motions, and certifications.
- Manage an electronic-based caseload in a high-volume environment while prioritizing work and multitasking effectively.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- College degree (4-year preferred).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Paralegal in Personal Injury or Bodily Injury, with a strong understanding of legal processes, case management, and litigation support.
- Specific experience interacting with the Court, drafting pleadings, motions, discovery; coordinating medical exams, scheduling court appearances and discovery, and managing case defense from inception through trial.
- Paralegal Certification or equivalent education/experience required.
- Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Legal/law firm experience, particularly in litigation or insurance defense, is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel and spreadsheet analysis.

Pay
$70,000 - $80,000 annually based on experience.
Schedule
- Flexible work hours between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM (e.g., 8–4, 8:30–4:30, or 9–5), with adjustments as needed for team coverage.
- Hybrid schedule: four days onsite and one day remote per week.
Work Environment
- Required job duties include prompt and regular attendance and the ability to frequently move about the office to coordinate work with others.
- Extended periods of standing, sitting, and typing.
- Ability to lift and/or carry up to 5 lbs.
