$22/hr to $25/hr W2 (potential to convert to full-time after 6 months).

Responsibilities

• Ensure the accuracy and compliance of legal billing processes.
• Review and analyze legal invoices for adherence to guidelines and UTBMS task codes.
• Work independently and collaboratively to verify billing details and process adjustments.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in legal services or legal auditing environment.
• Paralegal Certification or Bachelor’s Degree in a legal-related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in legal billing processes and familiarity with bill submission software.
• Strong understanding of legal terminology and claims processes; multijurisdictional exposure preferred.
• Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail and sound judgment.
• Effective organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration and guidance within teams.
• Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong initiative and proactive approach to work.
• Ability to adapt to evolving technology and processes.
• Willingness to work hybrid in Wichita, Kansas and commit to timely, accurate invoice review.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience verifying UTBMS task codes and billing guideline compliance.
• Knowledge of federal and state civil procedure rules.
