Paraeducator (Substitute)

Typical Duties

• May proctor, administer, and assist in administering assigned testing (e.g. MAP, SBAC, ELPAC, CELDT, etc.)
• Assists students, individually or in small groups, with lesson assignments
• Maintains manual and electronic documents, files and records (e.g. meal counts, attendance, reports, etc.)
• Maintains a safe and positive learning environment by monitoring individual and/or groups of students
• Performs clerical tasks (e.g. answer phones, event planning, type documents, handle mail, receive visitors, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• CPR/First Aid Training and Conflict Resolution – willing to obtain if selected
• Prior experience working with high risk students is desirable
