Job Responsibilities

• Support the overall programming and services to maximize the safety and learning goals within the classroom.
• Engage in 1:1, small group, and/or whole group engagement opportunities.
• Perform additional other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

• Experience working in schools, nonprofits, human service organizations.
• Flexibility, responsibility, and follow through.
• Teamwork skills - including navigating conflict.
• Ability to seek and provide clear and direct feedback.
• Bilingual or multilingual (a plus).
• Valid driver's license, safe driving record, and ability to transport students in AVC vehicles/vans (preferred).
• Physical ability to execute job responsibilities that include transferring, lifting, or shifting students or equipment, and managing equipment.

Benefits

• Competitive hourly pay range: $22.76-$37.04.
• Paid leave: 10 sick days and 3 personal days per year.
• $1200 Tuition Reimbursement.
• $1500 Stipend (only for paras) that can be used flexibly (tuition, cash, insurance, etc).
• 185 day position with a 7 hour reporting day.
• Additional hours and compensation available for summer school service.
