About the Role
You will be working with a special education student and will provide individual services and support for that student per their Individual Education Plan (IEP).
Requirements
- Completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher education OR the ability to demonstrate, through a formal local academic assessment, knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics (or readiness in those subjects, as appropriate). Testing to be determined.
- High school graduate.
- Knowledge of principles and practices relating to Special Education, subjects taught in District schools, and principles and techniques of providing instructional assistance in a variety of subject areas.
- Proficiency in correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Maintain current CPR and First Aid certification.
