About the District

About the Role
Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, assist a certificated teacher in providing instruction to individuals or small groups of students; monitor and report student progress. Supervise the use of restrooms, change wet or soiled clothes, change diapers, and assist in toilet learning.
Requirements
- Completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher education OR the ability to demonstrate, through a formal local academic assessment, knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics (or readiness in those subjects, as appropriate).
- Knowledge of basic subjects taught in the District schools, including arithmetic, grammar, spelling, language, and reading, as well as correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary.
- Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school and some experience working with children in an organized setting.
- Early childhood education (ECE) units preferred.
