Paraeducator Student Attendant - Westwood (QSS 9357)

Requirements / Qualifications

• Completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher education OR demonstrated knowledge and ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics through a formal local academic assessment.
• Knowledge of principles and practices relating to Special Education, subjects taught in District schools, and principles and techniques of providing instructional assistance in a variety of subject areas.
• High school graduate with correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary, as well as good oral and written communication skills.
• Maintain a current CPR and First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide individual services and support for a special education student according to their Individual Education Plan (IEP).
