About the role
The Paraeducator (Special Education) position supports students with significant cognitive and academic delays, providing a life-skills or functional approach to academic instruction.
Responsibilities
- Support students in the Life Skills Program with daily activities and learning objectives.
- Assist in implementing the curriculum tailored to each student’s individual needs.
- Provide transportation services to students as needed.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with individuals with special needs.
- Valid Washington State Driver’s License.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of special education principles and practices.
Skills
- Effective time management and organization skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
