Paraeducator

Anticipated vacancy for the 2026-2027 school year at Center Elementary School. The district reserves the right to change or not fill this vacancy based on staffing changes, enrollment, or budget.

Responsibilities

• Support students academically, emotionally, behaviorally, and socially in the school setting
• Assist students with toileting as needed
• Follow directions and implement accommodations and modifications as directed by teachers and related service providers
• Collect data consistently
• Prepare and maintain records

Requirements

• Associate degree, some college, or passing of the paraprofessional test
• Knowledge and understanding of various disabilities
• Knowledge of school classroom procedure and special education procedures
• Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities at the Elementary School level
• Experience working with age-appropriate students in a school setting

Alternatives to the above qualifications may be considered appropriate and acceptable by the principal, special education coordinator, and Director of Student Services.
