Paraeducator

About the role

To assist the special education teacher in working with individual students or small groups to help them achieve the skill levels commensurate with their capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Supports the special education teacher in providing instruction and activities tailored to individual student needs.
• Assists in creating and implementing lesson plans and activities as directed by the special education teacher.
• Monitors student progress and communicates with teachers, parents, and other professionals as needed.

Requirements

• Pauline Central Primary & Pauline South Intermediate are Title 1 Schools.
• Title 1 Paraeducators must have one of the following:
• An Associate's Degree from an Accredited University
• A minimum of 48 College Credit Hours from an Accredited University
• Successful Completion of the Para Test

Pay

$13.53-$19.78/hour (wage determined by years of relevant experience)
