Para Educator 1, Special Education - SHORT TERM / 19 hrs wk/Itinerant / Testing Dates: Thursdays at 9:00 am at the District Office

About the role

Para Educator works under the direction of a special education teacher in a variety of school settings. Para Educator may also provide support to students with intensive challenges (behavior, communication, social skills) in general and special education classrooms. Experience working with autistic students preferred.

Requirements

• Two recent written letters of recommendation are required.
• An AA degree can be used in lieu of testing.
• If you have successfully passed the Instructional Assistant General Education and Special Education tests, you do not need to re-test.

Schedule

• 19 hours per week (Monday – Friday)
• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• Wednesday: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
