About the role
As a Palletizer Machine Operator for Materne North America, you will be responsible for the operation and monitoring of the palletizing machine and assisting the packaging operator on our Case Packer Machine when needed for the end of our manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
- Operate high-speed palletizing equipment through touchscreen/HMI in a production environment
- Reset robotic arm positions after line shut down
- Load materials into palletizing machine
- Set machine to increase/decrease number of cases selected for different size formats
- Observe/inspect materials to identify contamination, foreign materials, uniformity and quality
- Operate industrial carts, power hand carts, and forklifts
- Perform troubleshooting and basic maintenance of equipment
- Clean palletizing area and sanitize equipment
- Complete daily paperwork and reports
- Clearly communicate machine issues to team members, both upstream and downstream
- Assist with rework when needed on our Case Packer Machine
- May be required to hand stack cases
- Must be able to work a minimum of 12 hours
- Utilize company operating systems and digital tools, including POKA, Fabriq, DigiDocs, and similar platforms, to support production, documentation, and operational communication
- Demonstrate the Company’s values and winning behaviors while adhering to all company policies and practices, including safety and environmental protocols, quality standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Requirements
- Must be able to stand for an entire shift (12 hours)
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Technical / Trade School preferred
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Prior experience working in the food industry is preferred
Skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to communicate (verbal, read, write) effectively in English
- Mechanical aptitude
- Computer skills (data entry & experience with an ERP system in a production environment preferred)
- Basic math skills, including competency with weights and measures (must be able to take/record measurements and understand tare weight)
- Effectively work with others as a team
Schedule
This position is for our D shift: Thursday-Saturday and every other Wednesday from 7pm-7am. There is a $4 differential for this shift.
