About the role

We are seeking candidates with mechanical aptitude and experience working directly with production equipment such as conveyors, sprays, ovens, and printers. The role emphasizes the importance of proper and timely maintenance of machinery and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operates console that controls automatic palletizing equipment to sort, inspect, transfer, and stack various sizes of cans on pallets.
• Constantly checks can lines for tipped or jammed cans; removes cans from line and examines them for obvious defects.
• Removes jammed, broken, or out-of-square pallets from pallet feed and discharge mechanisms.
• Removes defective cans and informs supervisor of constant defects.
• Turns selector switch on palletizer to control stacking arrangement of cans on the pallet and to transfer loaded pallet to storage or delivery platform.
• Keeps records of production and equipment performance.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• A passing score on the Basic Skills Test.
• 1-3 years of manufacturing/industrial experience.
• Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
• Exposure to moderate to high noise levels.

Schedule

Candidates must be able to work overnights and weekends. Schedules follow a pattern of four days on, three days off, three days on, and four days off, with 12-hour shifts.
