Bossar Machine Operator - C Shift - $26.44/hr

Headquartered in Chicago and New York City, we operate four manufacturing plants in Little Chute, WI; Brookings, SD; Traverse City, MI; and Nampa, ID. As a Bossar Machine Operator for Materne North America in Nampa, ID, you will operate and monitor the FFS (form, fill, seal) equipment for our manufacturing process on C shift (Thursday‑Sunday and every other Wednesday, 7:00 am‑7:00 pm).
Responsibilities
- Operate high-speed manufacturing equipment through touchscreen/HMI
- Lift and add rolls of packaging film into machine
- Observe materials to identify contamination or foreign materials
- Inspect pouches for uniformity and quality
- Document all necessary supply inventories
- Operate industrial carts and forklifts in a safe manner
- Perform troubleshooting and basic maintenance of equipment
- Clean packaging area and sanitize equipment
- Complete daily paperwork and reports
- Perform and complete sensory testing
- Responsible to support a food safety and food quality culture
- Demonstrate the Company’s values and winning behaviors while adhering to all company policies and practices, including safety and environmental protocols, quality standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Requirements
Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; Technical/trade school preferred.
Experience: Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment; previous experience in the food industry is a plus.
Knowledge/Skills: Strong attention to detail; ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal, read, write); mechanical aptitude; computer skills (data entry & experience with an ERP system in a production environment preferred); basic math skills, including competency with weights and measures (must be able to take measurements and understand tare weight); embraces teamwork and thrives in team environment.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for an entire shift (12 hours); must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.; must be able to walk up and down stairs multiple times per shift.
Schedule
C shift – Thursday through Sunday and every other Wednesday from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. Minimum 12‑hour shift.
