This role involves finishing drywall on construction sites, working closely with other tradespeople such as carpenters and laborers.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare surfaces for drywall finishing.
• Mix gypsum joint compound ingredients to desired consistency.
• Apply, level, and smooth coats of joint compound.
• Tape over joints between drywall panels.
• Finish corners and angles.
• Measure, cut, and install metal corner beads.
• Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks.
• Sand seams and joints.
• Create decorative designs in the finish coat.
• Mold and install ornamental fixtures.
• Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings.
