About the Role

Painting of finished products as directed by Lead Person or Supervisor. Products may include mechanic bodies, tire service bodies, miscellaneous parts, and occasionally chassis and other finished products. The role requires basic painting and mechanical aptitude, the ability to read blueprints and technical documents such as paint mixing procedures, and proficiency in industrial painting techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all aspects of the paint prep area, working collaboratively with other employees as part of a team.
  • Be prompt and on time daily for work.
  • Take direction from area supervision to complete orders in a timely manner.
  • Read work orders and understand technical documents required for the job.
  • Operate mechanical equipment efficiently and learn all aspects of the job as required.
  • Maintain a productive and non-disruptive work ethic, minimizing scrap or rework.
  • Follow all company safety rules and policies as outlined in the company safety manual.
  • Maintain company equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Operate all necessary tooling and equipment to fulfill job requirements.
  • Strive for continuous improvement in all aspects of job requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Prior basic painting and bodywork aptitude.
  • Ability to read blueprints and work orders.
  • Basic manufacturing background and mechanical aptitude.
  • Basic computer skills (preferred but not required).
  • Exceptional attendance record.
  • Ability to climb ladders and perform tasks requiring sitting, standing, crouching, squatting, or kneeling as needed.
  • Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs. occasionally, including lifting objects from floor to waist level (approximately 36”).
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Physical Requirements

  • Standing on a concrete floor for the majority of the shift (excluding break times).
  • Lifting and/or pushing up to 50 lbs.
  • Reaching and grabbing parts up to 10 lbs.
  • Climbing ladders (approximately 5’).
  • Crouching, squatting, and kneeling as required by job functions.
  • Good hand dexterity and balance to operate all necessary equipment.
  • Minimal crawling may be required.
  • Daily use of all five senses to maintain safety for yourself and the team.
