About the role

This position offers an opportunity to work with aircraft paint, helping to transform ordinary aircraft into unique works of art. Responsibilities include masking and taping aircraft parts, sanding primer, blowing and cleaning aircraft, applying paint, and performing other job-related duties.

Responsibilities

• Masking and taping aircraft parts to avoid overspray
• Sanding primer
• Blowing and cleaning aircraft with thinner
• Washing the paint booth
• Applying all layers of paint, including top coat
• Laying out stripe and design schemes
• Prep and scuff paint to get ready for trim
• Laying out stripe and design schemes
• Re-masking aircraft and detail work
• Inspect completed paint jobs
• Paint mixing and paint matching
• Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Vo-tech school in paint or on-the-job experience is preferred but not required
• A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal
• 2-6 years of paint experience in aviation, auto, RV, Marine or related field

Qualifications

• Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Passes pulmonary physical and respiratory fit test
• Works under supervision of Team Leader

Skills

• Understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines including but not limited to OSHA, haz mat, etc.
• Logically work with mechanical processes
• Work with others in a professional manner
• Good communication skills

Pay

The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $18-$30. Additional compensation in the form of a shift differential will be provided if the employee is assigned to an alternate shift.
