Paint line Associate 2nd shift

About the role

Paint Line Associate 2nd shift is a full-time permanent position operating on the night shift from 3PM to 3AM. Cornerstone Building Brands is a leading manufacturer of exterior building products, headquartered in Cary, N.C., serving residential and commercial customers in North America.

Responsibilities

• Complete all tasks as assigned by CCL department leadership
• Read, understand, and follow SOPs for each task being performed
• Take prompt corrective action to eliminate safety hazards, minimize equipment downtime, reduce scrap generation, and correct deviations from quality standards
• Document production records, quality checks, labels, etc. in a complete, legible, and accurate manner
• Operate equipment to produce product in specified amounts
• Perform quality checks on material at required intervals to ensure all product specifications are met
• Manage all wastes generated, including segregating recyclable materials and hazardous wastes
• Operate waste water neutralization system and maintain discharges within permit ranges
• Accurately record production information for EPA reports
• Transport hazardous wastes from generation points to designated accumulation areas or between areas, preparing containers for offsite shipment
• Inspect hazardous waste accumulation areas

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing and/or maintenance experience
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math skills as required
• Positive attitude, quality and safety consciousness, and teamwork skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, bend, sit, lift, pull, push, reach, twist, and walk frequently
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Required personal protective equipment, tugger, overhead crane, carts, dollies, and hand tools
• Safe work performance and adherence to safety responsibilities
