About the role
Magnit Direct Sourcing on behalf of Toyota is currently hiring a Paint Digital Engineer for a temporary assignment in Georgetown, KY.
This is a 36 month contract. The pay range for this role is between $35 - $40/Hr. Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K.
Responsibilities
- Create offline robot programs for download in a robotic production process.
- Cook with Regional Paint Engineer study, conduct the trial, evaluate based on safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
- Support Paint DE group to develop reach studies and cycle time analysis for sealer, UBC, and dampening coat robot processes.
- Support Paint DE group to develop reach studies and cycle time analysis for primer, base, clear and interior robot processes.
- Lead all meetings with related groups, document creation, and support the plants in the process.
- Include travel to US, Mexico and Canada pending covid restrictions to support projects.
- Report to the Digital Engineering Manager.
Requirements
- 2 years technical degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience with automated robotic paint shop application or similar
- Experience with Digital Engineering
- Additional related certifications
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge
- Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
- Flexible and able to multitask on several different aspects of a project or on multiple projects
- Able to take initiative to recommend projects, product improvements, or cost reductions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
