Paint Digital Engineer, Contingent Worker

This is a 36-month temporary contract assignment located in Georgetown, Kentucky.

About the role

This person will be creating offline robot programs for download in a robotic production process. Responsibilities include:

• Coordinate with Regional Paint Engineer to study, conduct trials, and evaluate based on safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
• Support the Paint Digital Engineering group to develop reach studies and cycle time analysis for one of the following robot processes:
  • Sealer, UBC, and dampening coat
  • Primer, base, clear, and interior
• Lead all meetings with related groups, create documentation, and support plants in the process.
• Travel to the US, Mexico, and Canada (pending COVID restrictions) to support projects.

Position reports to the Digital Engineering Manager.

Requirements

• 2 years technical degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with automated robotic paint shop applications or similar.
• Experience with Digital Engineering.
• Additional related certifications.
• Able to work with minimal direction; previous experience is a must.

Pay

$35.00 - $40.00 per hour.

Schedule

• Shift: 9 AM to 5 PM
• Travel required: 10%
