Paint Digital Engineer
Job Summary
The client in Georgetown, KY is seeking a Paint Digital Engineer for a contract position. The responsibilities include creating offline robot programs for robotic production processes, coordinating with regional engineers for trials, evaluating processes for safety, quality, productivity, and cost, and supporting the development of reach studies and cycle time analysis for various paint processes.
What You Will Do
- Create offline robot programs for robotic production processes.
- Coordinate with Regional Paint Engineer to study, conduct trials, and evaluate processes based on safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
- Support the Paint DE group in developing reach studies and cycle time analysis for sealer, UBC, and dampening coat robot processes, or primer, base, clear, and interior robot processes.
- Lead meetings with related groups, document creation, and supporting plants in the process.
- Travel to US, Mexico, and Canada to support projects as needed.
- Report to the Digital Engineering Manager.
- Must have programming experience with paint robots, offline programming software, or equivalent, and experience with digital engineering.
Basics
- Program paint robots offline using programming software or equivalent.
- Experience with automated robotic paint shop applications.
- Experience with Digital Engineering.
- Basic qualifications: 2 years technical degree or equivalent work experience; 4 years technical degree or equivalent work experience.
