PACU RN
About the role
The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. Responsibilities include assisting physicians in procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as appropriate. The role involves comprehensive patient care for those emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
- Active RN license in the state
- Current BLS & ACLS certifications
- 2 years of experience in PACU, Critical Care, ER, or ICU preferred
- Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
- Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient and unit needs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
