PACU RN

About the role

The PACU Registered Nurse at Seaside Surgery Center provides continuous and quality nursing care for patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation. They assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient and family needs in preparation for discharge.

Responsibilities

• Provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, evaluating their condition continually.
• Aids physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as needed.
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN school of nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS certifications, with PALS certification if required by the center.
• Two years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
