About the role
Provide immediate post-operative care to surgical patients as part of the Weeknight Dedicated Call Team.
Responsibilities
- Manage airway support and monitor neurological and cardiac status
- Respond to post-operative complications
- Provide wound care
- Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams
- Deliver patient-centered, evidence-based care
- Assess and document patient conditions
- Educate patients and families about medical conditions and follow-up care
On-Call Duties
- Available from 3pm to 7am with a 30-minute response time
- Support patient recovery during non-business hours
Requirements
- Active RN license
- Associate degree in nursing
- At least 1 year of critical care experience (ICU, ER, or PACU)
Certifications
- BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- Trauma resuscitation certification (required within specified timeframes)
