PACU Nurse Weeknight Dedicated Call Team

About the role

Provide immediate post-operative care to surgical patients as part of the Weeknight Dedicated Call Team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage airway support and monitor neurological and cardiac status
  • Respond to post-operative complications
  • Provide wound care
  • Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams
  • Deliver patient-centered, evidence-based care
  • Assess and document patient conditions
  • Educate patients and families about medical conditions and follow-up care

On-Call Duties

  • Available from 3pm to 7am with a 30-minute response time
  • Support patient recovery during non-business hours

Requirements

  • Active RN license
  • Associate degree in nursing
  • At least 1 year of critical care experience (ICU, ER, or PACU)

Certifications

  • BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • Trauma resuscitation certification (required within specified timeframes)
