PACU Lifestyle RN - Registered Nurse - On Call

Position Purpose

This salary position involves on-call coverage weeknights (Sunday - Thursday, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM).

As a PACU nurse, you’ll be the first face patients see after surgery—monitoring vital signs, managing pain, and reassuring loved ones—all while collaborating with a tight-knit surgical team. It’s an essential role with meaningful impact every shift.

What You'll Do

• Assess physical, emotional, and educational needs as patients transition from anesthesia to recovery
• Develop and adapt individualized care plans using strong clinical judgment
• Monitor post-op conditions, respond quickly to changes, and ensure safe discharges
• Educate and support patients and families with clarity and compassion
• Communicate clearly with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow nurses to coordinate care
• Stay flexible to support department needs and adapt to evolving healthcare technologies
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and continuous learning opportunities to grow in your role

Schedule

Covers call shifts Sunday - Thursday, 7 pm to 7 am

Education

• Associate degree required, BSN preferred
• 2 years of PACU RN or Critical Care experience required
