Packaging Operator - Swing Shift

Responsibilities

• Sets up, operates, and cleans product fillers, metal detectors, cappers, cap sealers, automatic labelers, scales, conveyors, lot coders, heat tunnels, turntables, Cello equipment, and pumps.
• Folds boxes; palletizes products and hand packages some products.
• Inputs and maintains accurate production records and reports.
• Cleans and sanitizes all containers, equipment, and room surfaces to avoid contamination.
• Works in production rooms as assigned.
• Focuses on continuous improvements for all aspects of job duties.
• Sets up and operates packaging equipment such as fillers, cappers, sealers, and labelers on various packaging lines.
• Works well with others as a team to maintain a positive work environment.
• Makes productive use of time, including shift overlap.
• Trains newly hired employees and carries out temporary employee orientations.
• Fills out paperwork correctly and must be current on all required SOPs.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma and specific course requirements.
• Knowledge of general packaging processes, GMPs, and SOPs.
• Good manual dexterity and quality-oriented mindset.
• Good math and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Good mechanical aptitude and ability to communicate effectively with coworkers on all shifts.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work in a dusty environment.
