Packaging Maintenance Tech-Swing Shift

Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on packaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with packaging machinery, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize equipment lifespan.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and implement effective solutions to minimize production disruptions.
- Collaborate with production staff to identify recurring issues and implement corrective actions.
- Document maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and part replacements, in accordance with company procedures.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new packaging equipment.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and equipment components, and reorder as needed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory standards in all maintenance activities.
- Provide training and guidance to production operators on proper equipment usage and maintenance procedures.
Qualifications
- Must have three years of related mechanical experience and or training in drives, conveyors, gearboxes, automated packaging systems, material handling and or other similar equipment.
- Must have two years of basic electrical and electronics experience and or training.
- Must have two years of experience with various types of welding, cutting and fabrication processes.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work in a wet, cool and sometimes unpleasant environment with a minimum of supervision.
- Must be able to read and write in English and have good math skills.
- Must have a demonstrated history of dependability, particularly with regard to safety and attendance.
- Must be able to lift containers weighing 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work from ladders and elevated platforms.
- Must be able to work in confined places.
- Must be willing and able to work various shifts, over time and non-standard work times.
- Must have own tools.
Pay & Benefits
Pay Range: DOE
$24.70-$30.90 with Attendance Premium of $0.25 and Shift Premiums of $0.50 and $1.00 for hours worked during swing and night shifts.
Longevity premium of $0.25 after one year of service.
