Packaging Operator

Responsibilities

• Properly load and package Revolution Farms’ products on assigned machines
• Inspect produce for defects, contamination, and foreign materials during loading and packing; report any issues promptly
• Inspect packaging for defects or contaminants; report any issues promptly
• Maintain production efficiency standards
• Rotate workstations as required to support workflow
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with company standards
• Complete all required Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs)
• Comply with all written Good Manufacturing and Agricultural Practices (GMPs/GAPs) at all times
• Support and maintain the placement and storage of produce, packaging, and other materials in their designated areas
• Operate machinery and perform repetitive tasks such as machine operation, hand packing, palletization, and shipping
• Understand and mix lettuce blend ingredients using basic math skills
• Identify all lettuce varieties and blends visually
• Organize produce and packaging to comply with FIFO procedures
• Communicate effectively with other team members and staff
• Contribute positively to team goals and maintain a collaborative work environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• At least 18 years old
• Able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds on a frequent basis
• Able to read numbers on a digital scale
• Access to reliable transportation
• Grasping, sorting, handling, lifting, bending, crouching, twisting, standing, walking, carrying, pushing, pulling, balancing, stooping, kneeling
• Repetitive motions, eye/hand/foot coordination, machine operation, handling tools, sweeping and similar motions

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Ability to operate a pallet jack and maneuver loads weighing up to 1,000 pounds
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing

Skills

• Understanding of lettuce blend ingredients and mixing ratios using basic math skills
• Visual identification of all lettuce varieties and blends
• Ability to organize produce and packaging to comply with FIFO procedures
• Effective communication with team members and staff
