Job Description
Looking for candidates with machine operator experience.
Experience in running filling equipment, assembling, and disassembling machines for cleaning.
Responsibilities
- Moving required materials from defined storage or staging areas to workspace using material handling equipment including manual and motorized pallet jacks/walkies.
- Packaging of final product into end-user containers per approved Standard Manufacturing Procedures (SMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Keeping accurate logs (both written and on computer) following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Demonstrating the ability to follow established procedures according to Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Demonstrating ability to set-up, operate and clean production equipment including weighing scales, hand-filling equipment, Integrated Fill Lines (IFL) and Bagging equipment (SpeeDee & All-Fills). Requires monitoring of critical meters, gauges and displays for process parameters (ie. temperature, humidity, RPMs).
- Maintaining accurate production records, which include operation/cleaning logs, batch history records, Label reconciliation, work order information and other pertinent data.
- Responsible for assuring final product is within final weight tolerance as specified per IMW A163.
- Using independent judgment to plan, perform, make decisions, trouble-shoot and problem solve in areas on set up, operations, and processes.
- Demonstrating the ability to maintain neat, accurate and complete records and logs and use calibration equipment and machine operations.
- Maintaining a safe work environment by following all client and DCM safety policies and procedures.
- Performing other duties as DCM operations required.
Minimum Qualification
- A high school graduate or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing, packaging and/or warehouse environment.
- Capable of performing heavy lifting/handling during a 10-hour shift; 1-5 lbs - 70%; 5-25 lbs - 30%.
- Capable of standing, walking and climbing stairs 50% to 95% of the workday.
- Capable of passing the physical examination for forklift operations and respirator fit test.
Additional Notes
- Dusty environment requiring routine use of N95 respirators.
- Routine use of Safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, respirators, and hearing protection may be required. Must be used if required.
- Respirators and PAPR are required at times for specified products.
- Repetitively heavy lifting/handling during an 8-hour shift; 1-5 lbs - 70%; 5-35 lbs - 30%.
- Forklift Experience is very helpful.
