What You Will Enjoy Doing

• Setup, operate, maintain, troubleshoot multiple types of packaging equipment. Equipment may include, but is not limited to:
  • carton erectors
  • partition inserters
  • product inserters (MPV, VPM, PLU)
  • foil dispensers
  • top closers
  • palletization equipment
• Manual responsibilities include:
  • loading, building and make boxes
  • hand packaging of bottles
  • loading labels
• Maintenance includes:
  • perform routine cleaning, and minor maintenance of equipment to ensure smooth operations
• Material Handling:
  • Loading/unloading packaging materials such as corrugate, containers or other raw materials
• Documentation:
  • Accurately document records of finished goods, packaging specifications, or any visual quality checks
  • Perform changeover's of divers packaging equipment (eg case erector, partition inserter, top sealer, …)
  • Applies correct labels
  • Perform quality check consisting of visual inspection of overall product, labels and packaging integrity for defects
  • Housekeeping

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred
• Capable of lifting 55 pounds and to stand for a minimum of 12 hours
• Able to work with multiple types of equipment simultaneously
• High cleanliness standards for the machines and work area

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, push and pull, reach with hands and arms and very occasionally to climb or balance
• Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear
• Occasionally required to sit
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs., frequently lift and/or move up to 38 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move or push/pull up to 55 lbs.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision
• It is required to act in a safe and environmentally responsible manner at all times by adhering to all ALPLA policies and procedures and Safety Standards (OSHA)
