Packaging Line Traffic Controller

This position reports to the Warehouse Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an organized, clean work area.
  • Know all applicable Sanitation and Safety SOP's.
  • Operate forklifts (certification required).
  • Operate manual and electric pallet jacks.
  • Wrap pallets using a wrapping machine.
  • Ensure all necessary placards are placed on pallets, with correct pallet sheets and pallet tags.
  • Work effectively with members of the QA team to pass pallets and collaborate with other team members.
  • Scan finished pallets into the system using a tablet and scanner.
  • Verify all entries are correct.
  • Store finished pallets in the proper spot in the warehouse.
  • Supply production lines with packaging materials.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and other colleagues.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or GED Equivalent.
  • Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 55 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.
  • Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written directions in English.
  • Forklift certification.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Ability to adhere to scheduled work hours.
  • Maintain proper hygiene.
