About the role
As a Packaging Line Lead at Victory Brewing, you will be responsible for operating packaging lines, ensuring product quality and efficiency, and driving continuous improvement. You will provide direction and leadership to Packaging Operators assigned to your line.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for daily operation of packaging lines- either kegging, bottling, or canning line fillers, cleaning equipment and performing in accordance with SOPs and specifications.
- Keep the lines running, e.g. keep bottle filler/labeler in production and provide direction/support for the packaging operators assigned to the line.
- Loading of packaging material, clearing jams, resetting faults.
- Performing basic changeovers for different container sizes and formats.
- Completing line quality checks and escalating deviations from expected results.
- Maintaining area GMP’s.
- Completing basic preventative maintenance (e.g. lubrication, observation, etc.) and entering corrective work order requests into eMaint (CMMS).
- Conforming to all area safety procedures, including wearing of PPE and reporting any safety hazards.
- Reporting safety incidents immediately to the shift supervisor or designate.
- Providing direction and leadership to the Packaging Operators.
Requirements
- Availability to work Second Shift, Monday-Friday, 1:45pm-10:15pm.
- You must be at least 21 years of age.
- Adherence to safety policies and procedures of the worksite.
- Manufacturing operational experience.
- Previous food and beverage packaging experience a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude & manual dexterity.
- Adept at problem-solving skills with a positive can-do attitude.
- Detail and action-oriented with the ability to multitask, results-driven.
- Embracing a process of teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Capable of understanding how beer filling and labeling equipment works.
Physical Requirements
- Candidate should be able to lift at least 55lbs. from ground level and should also be able to move 165lbs. of kegged beer from one location to another.
- Candidate should be physically capable of standing for long periods of time and able to kneel, stoop, crouch or crawl.
