Packaging Control Technician

About the Role

Conduct and record compliance of packaging requirements of DPFF and customer specifications, which may include temperature checks, scale checks, metal detect checks, vacuum seals, and monitoring various drum checks. Use SAP and Bartender computer software systems.

Responsibilities

• Keep thorough and neat paperwork.
• Record weight, seal, vacuum, and drum tally sheets.
• Take and record temperature of product.
• Record Metal Detector checks.
• Keep your supervisor notified of results in production area.
• Check scanning accuracy of both product and materials in your assigned area.
• Supply and proofread labels from Bar Tender system for manufacturing team.
• Verify and keep accurate daily inventory in your designated PSA (Production Supply Area).
• Responsible for Process Orders accuracy in SAP.
• Follow company policies including safety procedures.
• Perform other duties reasonably associated with the above essential functions of the job.

Education & Certification

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to pass a job-specific Physical Ability Test (PAT).
• Temperatures range from 40° to 50° Fahrenheit.
• Noise produced by manufacturing machinery up to 92 decibels.
• Must be able to climb stairs up to 5 feet daily.
• Must be able to do repetitive movements of bending, squatting, and pushing/pulling an average weight of 10 - 40 pounds.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Requires climbing, standing, stooping, twisting, lifting, and other physical movements to perform job.

Work Environment

An industrial plant environment with related noise and temperatures (extreme heat to extreme cold). Will work in the vicinity of forklifts. Travel requirements: none.
