Packaging C Operator

About the role

At Third Coast, we believe excellence starts on the production line. As a Packaging C Operator, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily operations including quality inspections, equipment setup, and process sampling.
• Operate packaging machinery with a strong focus on safety and accuracy.
• Ensure products meet quality standards by sorting, weighing, labeling, and transferring items to their proper locations.
• Manage inventory movements, both physically and in our ERP system.
• Load and unload products from rail cars, tanks, ISO containers, trucks, and various packaging formats.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and report concerns to supervisors promptly.
• Perform routine maintenance and ensure your work area remains clean and organized.
• Support your team by completing paperwork accurately and assisting colleagues when needed.

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Experience: At least 6 months of warehouse experience, with knowledge of hazardous materials a plus. Experience hooking/unhooking trucks is required.
• Skills: Multitasking, attention to detail, and strong organizational abilities are key. Familiarity with ERP systems and ability to interpret Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Desire to grow, learn, and take on new responsibilities.
• Physical Abilities: Comfortable with lifting and moving up to 50 pounds regularly and managing heavier items occasionally.
