Pack Operator I

Responsibilities

• Operate packer and palletizer equipment.
• Load/unload trucks and railcars using forklift or pallet jack.
• Manage order schedule and daily inventory.
• Prepare daily production report.
• Prepare COA’s (Certificate of Analysis) for load orders.
• Warehouse sanitation.
• Analyze flour with lab instruments.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Able to effectively use computer applications.
• Able to organize and prioritize tasks.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Prior experience with manufacturing equipment.
• May be required to pass a physical abilities test with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate mobile equipment including forklift, yard tractor, bobcat or Track Mobile.
• Must be able to frequently stand, walk, rotate, bend/stoop, twist, crouch, kneel, balance and reach or lift at shoulder level, above shoulder level, and below shoulder level.
• Must be able to occasionally lift/shovel/carry up to 55 pounds.
• Must be able to occasionally push up to 200 pounds of force.
• Must be able to occasionally pull/torque up to 210 pounds of force.

Pay

Starting range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00, with additional earning potential possible commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Shift: 8pm-8am, will work on a rotating schedule. Will train on 1st shift for several weeks.
