PACE Nutrition Services Administrator
Job Summary
The PACE Nutrition Services Administrator assesses nutritional status of Programs for All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) participants and oversees PACE Nutrition Services. Uses pertinent data to plan and implement appropriate nutrition interventions and communicates the information to the Interdisciplinary Team to ensure the nutritional needs of the participants are met. Functions as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team. Provides nutrition counseling, education and therapy to participants; educates and counsels family and other caregivers regarding dietary issues; and conducts initial assessments and periodic reassessments. Participates in the development of the plan of care, assists in the coordination of 24 hour care delivery, and regularly informs the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) of the nutritional needs of each participant. Coordinates Center meal service to ensure kitchen standards are met. Coordinates with contracted meal services to ensure meal plans and substitute meals meet the needs of the PACE participants. Provides education to other health care professionals as appropriate. Provides direction and supervision to Dietary Aide(s).
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or related field.
- Completion of a dietetic internship program approved by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND).
- Active status as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- Dietitian Certification with State of Washington (CD).
Experience
- One (1) year working with a frail or elderly population.
- Two (2) years clinical nutrition and supervisory experience.
Other Requirements
- Active Washington State Certified Dietitian and Registered Dietitian Nutritionist licensure.
- Must have active CPR and First Aid Certification within 1 month of hire.
