Supervisor - Nutrition Services

Job Summary

Regents Point, a premier 5-star HumanGood life plan community in Irvine, CA, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nutrition Services Supervisor to promote health and wellness among residents.

About the Role

This position offers a full-time schedule from Sunday to Thursday, with a typical start time between 8:30 and 9:00 AM, and occasional weekends. The role is non-exempt and pays a range of $32 to $39 per hour, contingent upon experience.

Responsibilities

• Promote health and wellness initiatives to prevent disease among residents.
• Oversee the daily tasks of the Nutrition Services team.
• Manage resident medication administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with residents, family members, guests, vendors, and other department heads to provide excellent communication and support.

Requirements

• Education: Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred, with a Dietetic Technician Credential or Certification as a Dietary Manager preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of relevant experience, preferably in a hospital or nursing home setting.
• Certifications: Credentialed through Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) as a Dietetic Technician or certified by the Association of Nutrition & Food Service Professionals as a Certified Dietary Manager.
• Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, proficiency in computer systems for resident information and record-keeping, and the ability to manage a team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge: Understanding of medical problems and resident care policies, as well as state and federal regulations related to nutrition services.
• Abilities: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, and adaptability to changing schedules.
