PA/NP - Medical Oncology - Grand Rapids, MI
About the Role
Corewell Health is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our growing Medical Oncology Program. Our patients and their families benefit from innovative, cutting-edge treatments and state-of-the-art programs and services. We specialize in treating the most complex types of cancers, with each treatment plan uniquely tailored to the patient. This full-time position involves working closely with employed physicians, seeing established patients for solid tumor and/or first visits.
Based in downtown Grand Rapids at our Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilion, part of Corewell Health's impressive medical mile, you will be part of the most comprehensive and robust cancer program in West Michigan. This includes over 150 highly qualified, board-certified physicians representing more than 17 oncology specialties. The program offers:
- Multispecialty teams and tumor boards with integrated staff
- Screening and prevention services
- Supportive, integrative, and palliative care
- Diagnostic and treatment services, including clinical trials
- 11 comprehensive programs
- Specialized radiation oncologists
- Breast Diagnostic Center
- Nurse navigation, palliative care services, psychiatric oncology, and cancer rehabilitation
Enjoy a flexible work schedule promoting work-life balance, with the option to work four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts. The role is primarily outpatient, with cross coverage to inpatient.

Requirements
Candidates with previous oncology experience in an advanced practice provider role are preferred. New graduates with prior experience as an Oncology RN or demonstrated oncology interest will also be considered.
Qualifications
Physician Assistants:
- Required: Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant educational program
- LIC-Physician Assistant - State of Michigan (upon hire)
- CRT-Physician Asst Certified (PA-C) - NCCPA National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (upon hire)
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association or ARC American Red Cross (within 90 days)
- CRT-Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - AHA American Heart Association (within 120 days)
- CRT-Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association (within 120 days)
Nurse Practitioners:
- Required: Master's Degree (Nurse Practitioners who obtained education and certification after 2000 must show evidence of completion from a program accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission)
- LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - State of Michigan (upon hire)
- LIC-Nurse Practitioner (NP) - State of Michigan (upon hire)
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association or ARC American Red Cross (within 90 days)
- CRT-Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association (within 120 days)
- CRT-Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - AHA American Heart Association (upon hire)

This position is based at the Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilion in downtown Grand Rapids, MI.
