Position Summary
TourToTeach, a role within Walmart, involves leading and developing teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates. This includes touring stores, providing feedback, and collaborating with all levels of associates regarding store operations, merchandising, and company direction.

- Teaches and trains teams, actively listens to associates, and provides feedback during store tours.
- Communicates and collaborates with associates at all levels regarding store operations, merchandising, and company direction.
- Introduces and leads company change efforts, sets clear expectations, and guides team implementation of business solutions.
- Communicates business objectives to teams effectively, models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards, and follows the One Best Way (OBW) service model.
- Manages and supports customer service initiatives such as Store of the Community and community outreach programs, ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved.
- Develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies and improve the customer experience.
- Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating Profit and Loss (PL) statements, managing budgets, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
- Maintains effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes to ensure sales and profit goals are met.
- Supervises and develops hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, providing recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset.
- Coordinates and oversees job-related activities and assignments, developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, and identifying and addressing improvement opportunities.
- Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures by implementing related action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and providing direction and guidance on executing business processes and practices.
- Respects individuals, builds high-performing teams, embraces differences, and creates a workplace where associates feel seen, supported, and connected through a culture of belonging.

- Includes an annual salary range of $65,000.00 - $100,000.00, with additional compensation for certain positions including Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) and Complex Structure.
- Requires 2 years of college, 1 year of retail experience and supervisory experience, or 2 years of general work experience and supervisory experience.
- For facilities selling firearms, requires successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
- For facilities selling only ammunition, may require a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility.
- Includes live better U education benefit programs for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities.
- May include state-specific requirements for certain positions.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years’ of college;
- 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience;
- 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University;
- Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University;
- General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
