The Opportunity We are actively exploring an established companion animal hospital in the Littleton market and are looking for a veterinarian who wants to become both a Medical Director and an owner. As Medical Director, you may participate in a structured co-ownership model with meaningful equity and defined participation in performance and growth. You lead the medicine. VPP provides operational, financial, HR, recruiting, and marketing support so you can focus on clinical excellence and team development. VPP supports more than 190 hospitals nationwide and over 200 doctor partners, including more than 100 first-time veterinary owners. Primary Medical Director Responsibilities Clinical Leadership Establish and uphold medical standards and urgent care protocolsLead effective case flow and clinical decision-making within an urgent care settingEnsure high-quality patient care and clear client communicationOversee medical record accuracy and charge captureIdentify and implement clinical service enhancements Team and Practice Leadership Support hiring and onboarding of veterinarians and support staffMentor associate veterinarians in urgent care workflows and triage best practicesContribute to operational strategy and scheduling efficiencyFoster a collaborative, team-first culture Financial Oversight Drive revenue growth while maintaining medical excellenceParticipate in annual planning and performance reviewSupport marketing and community engagement initiatives Requirements Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalentActive Colorado veterinary license or ability to obtain3+ years clinical experience preferredStrong leadership and communication skills We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
