Overseas Settlement Supervisor
Overview
Supervises workers and tasks in the organization's overseas settlement function. This role will require you to be fully onsite based out of Franklin, TN.
Responsibilities
- Maintains and manages account receivable and payable to all assigned agents, accurately.
- Oversees and reviews agent’s monthly AR statement and tries to match it with our outstanding payable.
- Escalates overdue AR for additional collection efforts.
- Manages account receivable and payable to all assigned agents, accurately.
- Oversees and judges for correctness of agent’s AR statement.
- Communicates missing payables to branches to follow up and set up for payable.
- Ensures timely and accurate settlement of assigned agents.
- Allocates settled transactions to AP/AR allocation in the accounting system to clear the outstanding.
- Generates reporting to identify delinquent AR and AP to branches to work on them.
- Follows up on identified issues and discrepancies to supervisor and/or manager and performs special projects as assigned.
- Prepares and processes journal entries to record overseas settlements.
- Preparation for annual and semi-annual accounting audit and JSOX testing and reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred and minimum of 5 years of AR & AP experience required.
- General Accounting experience is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of Management.
- Ability to receive and understand direction from supervision and management.
- Proficiency with Excel required.
- Experience with MS D365 is a plus.
