Work in a progressive emergency and specialty hospital environmentBe part of a respected hospital network known throughout the regionUtilize and expand your advanced technical and critical care skillsLearn from experienced ER, ICU, and specialty professionalsEstablished training and mentorship programs designed to help technicians growOpportunities to advance into highly skilled ICU, ER, and specialty rolesSupportive team culture that values collaboration, compassion, and professional growth Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Deliver exceptional nursing care utilizing advanced technical skills including venipuncture, catheter placement, radiography, emergency triage, diagnostic sample collection, and critical patient monitoringPlay a vital role in the treatment and stabilization of emergency and hospitalized patientsAssist with emergency procedures, surgeries, anesthetic induction and monitoring, and post-operative patient careAdvocate for patients and support clients with empathy, compassion, and professionalism during stressful situationsMaintain accurate and detailed medical records within the electronic medical record systemCollaborate closely with doctors and fellow team members to provide the highest level of patient careMentor and support fellow technicians and assistants while continuing to grow your own knowledge and skill set Skills and Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician in a small animal clinical settingEmergency and/or specialty experience strongly preferredVeterinary Technician licensure preferredStrong technical and critical thinking skillsProficiency in medical math calculations including drug dosages, CRIs, and conversionsExcellent communication and teamwork abilitiesAbility to multitask, adapt quickly, and remain calm in high-pressure situationsPositive attitude, strong work ethic, and passion for high-quality veterinary medicineAbility to lift and restrain pets weighing at least 40 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods If you are passionate about emergency and critical care medicine and want to join a hospital that invests in its technicians, we would love to meet you.
