Overnight Veterinary Assistant

About the role

Mission / Overland Park Veterinary Emergency & Specialty, Mission (Kansas City Metro), has a great opportunity for a Veterinary Assistant or Technician. The position offers exposure to a diverse and stimulating caseload, access to advanced imaging and monitoring tools, and collaboration with board-certified specialists.

Responsibilities

• Work overnight shifts from 4pm - 2am
• Enjoy a welcoming environment with opportunities for mentoring and guidance
• Utilize state-of-the-art equipment to perform advanced techniques and provide excellent care
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members to make a difference in the lives of patients and their families
• Learn and teach new and advanced techniques

Requirements

• Experience as a Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant
• Outstanding client service and patient care skills
• Ability to remain composed during stressful and emotional situations
• Clear, effective communication skills

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current certification as a Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant

Pay

• $15-$22 per hour for a Veterinary Assistant
• $22-$28 per hour for a Registered Veterinary Technician
• Pay is based on skill and experience
• Shift differentials apply
