Overnight Veterinary Assistant

About the role

Mission / Overland Park Veterinary Emergency & Specialty, Mission (Kansas City Metro) is seeking an Overnight Veterinary Assistant. The position requires availability for shifts between 5 pm - 8 am.

Responsibilities

• Utilize skills and learn from board-certified specialists
• Work in a team-oriented environment focused on patient care and teamwork
• Train, coach, mentor, and teach new techniques
• Use state-of-the-art equipment to perform advanced techniques

Requirements

• Must be a Veterinary Technician or experienced Veterinary Assistant
• Outstanding client service and excellent patient care
• Ability to communicate effectively and remain composed during stressful situations

• Experience in a veterinary setting

Pay

• Base wage
• $3.00/hr differential between 10 pm and 8 am
• $1.50/hr differential from midnight Saturday morning to midnight Sunday night

Schedule

The schedule varies as it is a 24-hour/7-day-a-week clinic (always open).
