A Shift Manager at McDonald’s provides leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to ensure great Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. Shift Managers perform a variety of tasks, including planning for each shift, monitoring performance, ensuring team standards, and communicating with the next Shift Manager.
Responsibilities
- Lead shifts every week to ensure customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience.
- Monitor performance during the shift and take action to meet McDonald’s standards.
- Oversee safety, security, and profitability during shifts.
- Communicate with the next Shift Manager to prepare them for a successful shift.
- Help assigned departments meet their goals and targets.
- Manage food safety, internal communication, and inventory.
- Oversee daily maintenance, cleanliness, crew management, and quality food production.
- Ensure exceptional customer service and training for crew members.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older to be a manager in corporate-owned and operated restaurants.
- Previous leadership experience is preferred, ideally within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
- Flexible schedule and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive team player with a passion for delivering great service.
